Just thought I give you a quick update on how the meeting went on 1/31/06 at the Brandon Library.

Both Stephen Gorham Democratic Candidate for Florida Senate District 10, and Jean Batronie Independent Candidate for Hillsborough County Commission District 5 set the tone for the meeting stressing the importance of everyone in our community to work together towards the common goal of UNITY, and EQUALITY. To sum it up UNITED we stand, divided we fall. With that in mind I am asking everyone within our community for help.

I have now been faced with too many excuses, and roadblocks with the Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation department on why Brandon Pride can not hold a event in the parks, or recreation departments. Personally, I just wish they would say yes, or no instead of giving me a whole bunch of excuses. But if you know of any other venues, or locations that we can hold our Pride event on June 17, and 18, 2006 please email me, or call me.

I also would like to thank the Brandon Library staff for letting us hold our meetings. Your support is greatly appreciated. Our next public meeting at the Brandon Library will be 2/8/06 Wednesday at 7pm in the upstairs meeting room.
